Beverly Ulbrich is the Owner
of The Pooch Coach Dog Training
 |
Beverly
provides private and personalized empathic dog training and behavior problem
solving. She has extensive knowledge
and success with solving aggression issues and helping shy, fearful
dogs. Beverly has been working with dogs all her life. She actually
started training dogs at 9 years old. She has since been educated
in animal behavior as well as canine obedience and training. Beverly holds a BS degree from Rutgers University and a Masters from Santa Clara University. |
In addition to her private behavior training practice, where she's worked with over 2,000 dogs, Beverly
also formally evaluates and temperament tests dogs for shelters and rescue
groups as well as for dog-bite cases and hearings. She has trained
dogs internationally. She has worked with the East Bay SPCA, Pets
Unlimited, SF ACC, P.A.W.S., and several rescue organizations. She has served on the Board of Directors of Rocket
Dog Rescue as well as Share-A-Pet
pet assisted therapy organization. Share-A-Pet (SAP) hired Beverly
to be its San Francisco area trainer and tester for its Therapy
Obedience Professional (TOP) testing for all the therapy dogs involved
in SAP, where she also redesigned their nationwide testing procedures.
She was also the sole behaviorist for Veterinary
Street Outreach Services (Vet SOS) as well as for PAWS
(Pets are Wonderful Support), where she won Volunteer of the Year award in 2009. In addition to having thousands of happily satisfied customers, she comes highly recommended by Pets
Unlimited, San
Francisco Dog Owners Group, The
Milo Foundation, Reunion
Rescue, and Home
at Last Rescue - and she has fostered and/or trained dogs for
each of them.
Beverly has been an accredited member of both the
Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the International
Association of Canine Professionals for over 12 years. Beverly
has been certified with the American Kennel Club as an evaluator
for its Canine
Good Citizen Test.
Her excellent training capabilities have enabled her to be featured in many TV shows & movies, and appear on numerous news programs. She was featured on "Animal Planet" and casted and trained dogs for several movies. Beverly also busted a dog myth on "MythBusters".
